Do you dream about Brussels, where we, as citizens, would be informed about energy and would produce large amounts of energy that we share among us? This is brupower‘s mission, the first energy cooperative in Brussels that is aligned with the rescoop.eu values and the cooperative principles (ICA). brupower vision is that everyone is capacitated to become a true actor in the transition.

Participative democracy, care, societal impact are at the core of our dynamic, of our statutes and of our organization.

brupower, created in may 2022, is now supported by more than 40 volunteers who bring their skills, time and energy to the project. Their expertise covers a large spectrum of knowledge: energy sector’s legislation, communication, citizen participation, solar PV project management, digitalization,... The volunteers’ community is also advised by several experts of the energy sector.

Why ?

In order to boost the development of citizen energy in Brussels, we are looking for the first person to join brupower as an employee. Three main activities needs to be taken care of:

1. Project coordination, mainly trans-disciplinary ones: you work in collaboration with the different working groups and their volunteers that are already set up and you coordinate the most important project that require participation of several working groups

2. Administration: daily accounting, invoices follow-up, payment preparation, reporting,...

3. Operations: mainly activities that must be done during working hours, such as site visitsfor photovoltaïc projects, meetings with brussels instances,...

4. Bonus: you communicate through social networks with contents created by the workinggroups

Your profile

• You have experience in coordinating several projects in parallel, particularly on the administrative and financial aspects
  

• You have excellent organisational skills and eye for detail
  

• You have strong skills in project management, time management and masterdigital tools

• Bonus: you have experience in communication, be it at the team level or towards a larger public (knowledge of french and dutch is mandatory, with a good knowledge of english)

• You can adapt to complex situations

• You are creative, entrepreneurial and are creative for solving problems
  

• You have a good knowledge of the energy sector, without being a specialist
  

• You are familiar with participative governance and, ideally, you have a fistexperience in this matter
