Do you dream about Brussels, where we, as citizens, would be informed about energy and would produce large amounts of energy that we share among us ? This is brupower‘s mission, the first energy cooperative in Brussels that is aligned with the rescoop.eu values and the cooperative principles (ICA). brupower vision is that everyone is capacitated to become a true actor in the transition.
Participative democracy, care and societal impact are at the centre of our initiative and at the core of our statutes and organization.
brupower, created in may 2022, is now supported by more than 40 volunteers who bring their skills, time and energy to the project. Their expertise covers a large spectrum of knowledge: energy sector’s legislation, communication, citizen participation, solar PV project management, digitalization,... The volunteers’ community is also advised by several experts of the energy sector.
Why ?
To boost the development of citizen-owned energy projects, we are looking for the second person to join brupower as a part-time employee. The main activities to be taken care of are
Sales pipeline management:
- maintain the list of potential projects up to date
- Support ambassadors who prospect for new projects
- On-site visits and pre-analysis of the feasibility
- You manage directly the most important prospects for big PV projects.Photovoltaic project design validation
- you rely on the project WG for the design of the installation and you challenge them to get the best possible setup
- you select the best installer for each project and align with them on the schedule and technical aspects of the project
- Interaction/discussion with the DSO (Sibelga) and regional regulator (Brugel) on project parameters, such as green certificates, energy sharing perimeter,...Project execution management
- You make sure all legal documents are shared and signed
- You follow the execution of the projects by the installer
- You communicate with Brugel and Sibelga all the data about the sharing projects
Your profile
You know about photovoltaic, no need to be a geek
You like talking with people, understanding them and answering to their questions in a simple and understandable way.
You are organised and able to structure a simple commercial process
You like the technical side of things
You have strong skills in project management, time management and digital tools
You are fluent in English, French and Dutch
You have a BSc or a MSc degree
