A project with impact

For this project, brupower is partnering with the municipality of Ixelles to create an energy community in the neighborhood of “La Petite Suisse” in the southern part of Ixelles. The aim is install solar panels with a peak effect of 500 kilowatts on both larger roofs and residential buildings in the area in the next three years, allowing local residents to join the energy community and benefit from clean energy to a stable and predictable price.

This initiative is part of a larger action plan to improve living conditions for local residents with sustainability measures (Contrat de quartier durable). Apart from the municipality of Ixelles, we plan to partner with other stakeholders to ensure households most in need have a chance to be included in the project. CO2 savings over 20 years are expected to be around 3032 tonnes, the same as the emissions of driving 21 million kilometres by car.
