A project with impact

This project is being realised in partnership with the municipality of Saint-Gilles and the Pajopower energy community. By the autumn of 2024, five municipal buildings in Saint-Gilles, including a high school, sports centres at Rue de Russie and the Corneille Barca football pitches, will be fitted with 550 solar panels with a total peak capacity of 150 kilowatt.

Local residents will also have the opportunity to participate in the energy community and benefit from the electricity produced by the solar panels. This will allow also people who are renting or cannot install solar panels on their own roofs to take part in the local energy revolution.

During the runtime of the project, we expect more buildings to be added after the completion of their renovation. At least 920 tonnes of CO2 – or the same as 6.5 million kilometres driven by car – will be saved during 20 years thanks to this project.
